Sanni Falkenberg

Sanni was born in the country of long winters and strong coffee. She grew up among the lakes and forests of the Finnish interior, witnessing the Northern Lights in the winter and the midnight sun in the summer giving her a lifelong appreciation of nature. The extreme climate and wildly contrasting seasons have only enhanced her sense of the dramatic possibilities of her chosen material: the stone.

Sanni’s artistic journey is one of captivating transformation and the profound connection between nature’s treasures and human creativity. The process of her work is fluid like the forms she creates; whilst she’s revealing
the object inside, Sanni finds features in the stone that she wants to follow and enhance. It is like having a dialogue with the stone. The final outcome is a combination of her vision and what the stone has revealed throughout the process – the end result is always a creative discovery.

Sanni’s pieces embody the organic beauty of the stones, inviting to touch and evoking a luxurious connection to Earth’s history. With each cut, Sanni bridges the gap between raw material and wearable art, crafting jewellery and objects of art that resonates with a timeless alliance of craftmanship and nature’s splendour.
